pub on the intersection

you'd be hard-pressed to miss this building at the intersections of Penquite, Elphin, and David in Newstead. it's quite a popular suburban venue. never been in there myself - excepting one visit to the restaurant some years ago - but i understand it does it's best to cater to a variety of tastes.

of course, on an architectural level, it's Launceston all over.

Good drinks, nice atmosphere, and most importantly during the Tasmanian summer (no snickering up the back there, mainlanders): air conditioning.
